Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi is a small inexpensive computer created by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in Cambridge, UK. The computer is credit card sized and uses an ARM CPU.

It is capable of running the Linux Operating System, but for the DMD Extender custom software has been written. The software is supplied on an SD card and plugged into the Raspberry Pi.

Since Version 2 of the DMD Extender only the following models are compatible with the DMD Extender...

  • Zero (Recommended)
  • Zero W
  • Pi 1 Model A+
  • Pi 1 Model B+

Please note that DMD Extender Version 2 is the only model sold by Dr Pinball.

The following models of Raspberry Pi are no longer manufactured but are compatible with version 0.7 of the DMD Extender...

  • Model B Revision 1
  • Model A Revision 2
  • Model B Revision 2

Please note that DMD Extender Version 0.7 is no longer sold by Dr Pinball.
